Social and Community Regeneration

In order to build sustainable communities, it is vital that the physical, economic and the social aspects of regeneration come together. The impact of regeneration programmes must include positive outcomes for people. Government policy is increasingly focused on key issues such as social inclusion, wellbeing and equality, which are moving up the regeneration agenda and present an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people in disadvantaged communities.

GENECON’s social regeneration team can advise on the social aspects of physical and economic regeneration projects. We also have significant experience of leading programmes and projects focusing on social issues and disadvantaged communities. Our work covers project and programme evaluation; social research; feasibility studies; socio-economic needs analysis; strategy and business plan development; training, toolkits and guidance. GENECON also has expertise in community engagement and community capacity building particularly with hard to reach, seldom heard groups including children and young people.
