GENECON with support from GVA Grimley, led a research study on
the mechanisms available to continue to support public-private
sector partnership in the delivery of major regeneration projects.
The research was undertaken as part of the Northern Way's
Regeneration Momentum programme launched in August 2009. It has
been informed by a series of consultations held with developers
active across the North West, Yorkshire & Humber and North East
regions during March to May 2010.
The report's objective is to provide a Toolkit that sets out the
ways that the northern RDAs have engaged with the private sector to
bring forward key regeneration projects critical for the physical
and economic transformation of the north's towns and cities.
Its purpose is twofold - to contribute to the debate, both
nationally and across the north, on the need for new investment
tools to support traditional approaches, and to provide the
development sector with greater visibility on the tools and actions
that the public sector can and have taken to support
development.
