Local Enterprise Partnerships

Responding to localism & a new economic geography

Cradle Balls

GENECON is adapting its services to respond directly to the Government's 'Local Growth' policies and governance arrangements. Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) are new bodies responding to the Government's localism and economic growth agenda.

LEPs are tasked with using their understanding of local economic geographies to lead the re-balancing of the economy through private sector led business growth.

GENECON is working with a number of LEPs, including on development of bids to the Regional Growth Fund, Enterprise Zone designation and management and establishment of revolving investment funds through the Growing Places Fund. Drawing on our extensive experience of local delivery bodies, we are also offering advice on structure, and strategic and operational priorities for delivering LEP's economic priorities.
