GENECON is retained nationally by the Homes & Communities
Agency and by local authorities and agencies to advise on place
economics, housing growth, renewal and sustainable communities.
We have consistently advocated the role of housing in local
economic development and the importance of local
distinctiveness.
Our recent work for the HCA in central Middlesbrough, Durham's
former coalfield communities, East Birmingham and the regeneration
of Sheffield's Grade II listed Park Hill estate has been
instrumental in setting investment strategy and promoting Total
Place outcomes.
Our lead role in devising high level plans such as the Leeds
City Region Housing & Regeneration Strategy has set the
framework for investment choice and impact assessment.
