GENECON's report on High Street Performance was launched on 13th
December 2011 by the Department for Business, Innovation &
Skills to coincide with the launch of the Mary Portas high streets
review. GENECON has been working closely with the Portas team
to provide an assessment of the available evidence on high street
performance, the causes of decline and the prognosis for the
future. GENECON's report, which is referenced throughout the
Portas Review, has been welcomed by BIS and published on its
