GENECON has been selected as specialist advisor to the East
Riding of Yorkshire Council in developing its new economic
strategy. This reflects GENECON's national track record in devising
innovative and realistic plans for local growth delivery and our
extensive knowledge of the East Riding's economic geography.
This is a particularly interesting time for the East Riding
economy given its role in both the Humber and York & North
Yorkshire LEPs, and the challenges arising through the impact of
the recession. The area offers locational diversity and quality
combined with good access to important economic centres and has
recognised potential for growth in some key business sectors.
The strategy will seek to define a clear and realistic strategic
role and economic trajectory for the East Riding, enabling the area
and its assets to support long term growth in the respective LEP
areas.
