New urban and rural dynamics arising through 'city-regions' and polycentric development patterns create new opportunities for economic activity and collaborative strategies.

A key area of GENECON’s activity is advising policy makers on economic and spatial prospects for towns, cities, sub-regions and regions. Local Economic Assessments help to identify economic needs and opportunities, inform future economic strategy and support project case making. Our work covers economic needs analysis, spatial studies, economic masterplans and business sector assessments to provide robust evidence to inform policy-making at all levels.
