Ben Pretty

Senior Consultant

 Ben Pretty joined GENECON at the start of 2007 from Deloitte LLP, where he worked as an Associate within the Assurance and Advisory department. He is a geography graduate from the University of Leeds and is working towards an MSc in ‘Urban Regeneration’ to achieve  membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, having already gained a Post Graduate Diploma.

Ben plays a vital role in supporting the work of principal consultants and partners across GENECON’s portfolio of high profile regeneration projects. He is supporting the team on a range of projects, including economic appraisals, feasibility studies, evaluations and project business plans. Ben has a comprehensive understanding of the HM Treasury Green Book/GRADE appraisal process and has extensive experience of working with national and regional agencies and local authorities. He has gained significant experience in economic impact and feasibility work and has supported a range of economic research commissions across the breadth of GENECON’s work. As part of his MSc, Ben is currently undertaking a dissertation focusing upon city regions and their ability to enhance core city competitiveness.
